Admitted in 1973, David has practiced in a wide range of areas of law both in SA and interstate.

He has developed a boutique commercial practice with a client base that is owned both interstate and internationally, as well as local based.

He has been involved in significant acquisitions and divestment, international trade and intellectual property agreements and dispute negotiations.

Mr Johnson has been committed to a national accreditation of lawyers and that movement appears to be now gaining acceptance by the Society. Mr Johnson also is committed to the legal profession accepting multi-disciplinary approach to the practise of law, the Society has made submissions to the Attorney-General to ensure that practitioners in South Australia have a full range of practise options which include multi-disciplinary practises. To date, the Attorney-General has not adopted these submissions in the draft Legal Profession Bill 2006 (South Australia). The Legal Profession in South Australia requires that only people admitted in South Australia can practise law in South Australia and Johnson Lawyers complies with that requirement.
